Attending the Congress

How can I attend the Congress?

Registration will be opened soon in early June. Check back to the website for more information.

Can I transfer my ticket?

Tickets are currently non-transferable. You may contact us at [email protected]for further clarifications.

Must I print out my ticket for the Congress?

It is encouraged to print the registration ticket or download the e-registration ticket into your tablet or phone. Please bring this on the day itself for on-site registration.

Refund Policy

The congress and workshop fees are non-refundable.

Getting Around in Singapore

Getting around Singapore is quick and affordable; the public transportation system is extremely easy to use and taxi are reasonably priced. The three main modes of public transport are buses, Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) and taxis.

All taxis are metered, but be mindful of the peak hour surcharges (MondayFriday6am – 9.30am 25% of metered fare, MondaySunday & Public Holidays 6pm to midnight 25% of metered fare, MondaySunday& Public holidays 12am – 5.59am 50% of metered fare) and ERP (Automated toll system) charges.

Uber and Grab Taxi services are also available in Singapore.

What is the climate like in Singapore?

Singapore has a tropical climate, with temperature ranging from 25°C – 32°C. Humidity level is high in Singapore as well. You may wish to bring comfortable clothing if you are intending to explore Singapore.

Visa Applications

Please note that all visitors to Singapore must meet the following entry requirements:

  • Valid travel document (minimum validity ≥ 6 months);
  • Onward/return ticket;
  • Entry facilities to next destination, e.g. visas;
  • Sufficient funds to stay in Singapore and
  • Visa for Singapore (if applicable)

If you require a visa to enter Singapore, please approach the Singapore mission nearest to you for information on visa application and submission procedures, list of documents required, application fees payable and to obtain visa application forms.

The visa application process can take up to at least 2 months, so it is important that you start your application as soon as possible to ensure you receive your visa in plenty of time for travel to the 7th AFLAS Congress Meeting.
